FAQ

How the door works, what we expect on the floor, and answers to the questions we get most.

At the door

In this order · No exceptions
  1. 01

    Security check

Everyone is searched by security. Alcohol and any drinks other than water are taken at the door.

  2. 02

    Ticket scan

Have your Shotgun ticket open and your screen bright.

  3. 03

    Camera sticker

We cover your phone camera with a sticker. It stays on all night. No photos, no videos.

  4. 04

    Wristband

Your wristband goes on last. Keep it on, it's your pass for re-entry.

Free

Earplugs at the entrance. Ask security.

12 AM

Last re-entry. After midnight, once you leave you're out.

In line
  • Respect the line

Wait your turn and respect the people around you and our security team.

  • Be ready

Ticket open, ID out, bags ready. If you're not ready, you'll be asked to step to the side and guests who are ready go first.

  • Stay together

Coming as a group? Stay together so you check in together. If you get split between lines, check in and meet your friends inside on the main floor. With a 3-person bundle ticket, wait to the side until your friends catch up.

On the floor

Floor etiquette
  1. 01

    No VIP

Everyone is welcome on the stage. No tables, no sections, no hierarchy. One floor.

  2. 02

The dance floor is for dancing

Take conversations outside the floor. Be present and lose yourself in the sound.

  3. 03

    No photos. No videos.

Your camera sticker stays on. Limit phone use on the floor, for your night and everyone else's.

  4. 04

    Respect the booth

No phones near the booth. No drinks near the equipment.

  5. 05

    Respect each other

Be mindful of your personal limits and the people around you. Don't ruin the night for yourself or anyone else.

Questions

How old do I have to be?

All Brainwash events are 18+ unless the event says otherwise.

What's the difference between the 18+ and 21+ wristbands?

We have separate wristbands for 18+ and 21+ guests. Your wristband follows what your ID says, so keeping your ID up to date is your responsibility. If your ID still says "under 21", you get an 18+ wristband, even if you're already 21.

We're coming as a group. How does check-in work?

Stay together in line so you can be checked in at the same time. If you get split up (sometimes one security line moves slower than another), check in and wait for your friends inside on the main floor. If you have a 3-person bundle ticket, wait to the side until your whole group is there.

Where are tickets sold?

Only on Shotgun ↗. Tickets are non-refundable unless the event says otherwise.

I'm on the guest list. What do I do?

Go through the same door process as everyone else: security check, camera sticker, wristband. You only skip the ticket scan.

Can I bring a drink?

Water only. Alcohol and any other drinks are removed at security, no exceptions.

Can I leave and come back?

Yes, with your wristband, until 12 AM. After midnight there is no re-entry.

Why is my camera covered?

We keep the floor free of phones so everyone can be present. The sticker stays on for the whole night. Our own photographers capture the night and the photos go up in the gallery.

Do you have earplugs?

Yes. Free earplugs are available at the entrance. Just ask.

What time should I arrive?

Door times are on each event page. The door process takes a few minutes per person, so arriving early means less waiting and more music.
